The first Barrio Fiesta restaurant was established in 1958. Now with branches all over the Philippines and in the United States, Barrio Fiesta has a following that spans several generations of food lovers.
To bring to even more tables the high quality food served at its restaurants, Barrio Fiesta Manufacturing Corporation (BFMC) was established in 1987. In 1987 BFMC introduced to the market its initial product, the bottled bagoong (sauteed shrimp paste). Bagoong is truly loved by Filipinos because of its exquisite ethnic flavor. It was well received not only in in the Philippines, but also in other countries such as America, Hong Kong, Korea, Canada and Japan. The bagoong comes in three variants: Regular, Sweet and Spicy. In 1997, Barrio Fiesta introduced the ready-to-eat canned meals to the Philippine market. These products are the popular dishes among Filipinos, which are prepared in the traditional home-cooked way but presented in the convenient canned form to the consumers. In keeping with its commitment to home-style cooking, these bottled and canned products have NO PRESERVATIVES. More recently, Barrio Fiesta launched new products lines including:
